SUMMARY:“Lullabies” Lecture Performance & Conversation with Hasmik Harutyunyan
DESCRIPTION:Parents with children are especially welcome.\n\n \n\nLullabies\, a bilingual collection of traditional Armenian lullabies\, is a gathering of valuable songs from different regions of historical Armenia\, drawn from the repertoire of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia\, Hasmik Harutyunyan.\n\n \n\nThe author has collected\, classified\, and annotated about 57 lullaby songs from printed and unprinted sources. The collection includes a list of sources\, a dictionary of dialect and foreign words\, and an accompanying CD featuring the first performances of numerous lullabies.\n\n \n\nThis project preserves a delicate and deeply emotional part of Armenian musical heritage — songs once sung by mothers and grandmothers\, carrying comfort\, love\, and memory across generations.\n\n \n\nThe event is intended for those interested in the traditional Armenian lullaby genre and for the music-loving public.
