DESCRIPTION:Armenian Arts is proud to present ARTISTINTHEWORLD by Dutch photographer and painter André Smits\, a global\, ongoing artistic journey that connects artists and art professionals across continents through photography\, murals\, and living networks of collaboration. \nSince 2008\, Smits has built an ever-expanding archive of more than 7\,000 photographs portraying artists in their studios around the world. A defining element of the series is the romantic Rückenfigur concept: each subject is photographed from behind\, offering viewers an intimate yet contemplative glimpse into creative spaces. \nThis pop-up exhibition marks his fourth visit to Los Angeles and features more than 100 photographs. \nA Living Mural – Watch It Happen \nFrom March 1–5\, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM\, André Smits will be creating a large-scale mural inside Armenian Arts. The mural functions as a living map of artistic connections — a network of names and arrows tracing relationships and introductions between artists. \nThe public is warmly invited to step in throughout the week to witness the mural’s progress in real time. DESCRIPTION:Armenian Arts presents Hoarse Fanfares: Triumph\, an exhibition exploring the mystical dimension of the graphic practice of Stratumism by Armen Ronov. \nIn spiritual tradition\, fanfares announce awakening.\nYet when they sound hoarse\, awakening has passed through purification — through fire. This exhibition reflects the triumph of a spirit that has undergone initiation. \nArtistic Manifesto  \nLayering. Incisions. Texture. \n• Fanfare — the line as proclamation\, the gesture as signal.\n• Hoarseness — the tactile abrasion of graphic matter.\n• Triumph — the achieved compositional equilibrium. \nThis is the triumph of material left unpolished. \nHoarse Fanfares: Triumph is a victory without varnish.\nIt is the sound of art that has endured the friction of time. \nHere\, triumph does not shout.
